Welcome and thank you for using ubook (“ubook”, “service”, “we”, “our” or “us”). The service offered by ubook is accessible at www.ubook.no (“site”, “website” or “web application”)

This statement of rights and responsibilities (“Statement”, “Terms”, or “SRR”) is our terms of service that governs our relationship with users and others who interact with Ubook. By using or accessing Ubook, you agree to this statement. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

   • By “Ubook” we mean all the features and services we make available through our website at www.Ubook.no (including any sub-domains, bookmarklet and widgets) or features and networks now existing or developed in the future.
   • By “information” we mean facts and information about you. This also includes actions taken by users and non-users who use or access Ubook.
   • By “content’’ we mean everything that is posted by you and other users on Ubook that is not in the definition of information.
   • By “data”, “your data”, “user data”, “user’s data” we mean all content and information that you can retrieve from Ubook.
   • By “use” we mean use, copy, modify, show in public, distribute and create derivative works of.
   • By “user” we mean people who have completed our sign up process to access into their profile.

2. Privacy

3. Your Content in our Service

   You can use our service to submit content and you retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in that content. Whatever belongs to you stays yours.

   • When you share or upload content to our services such as photos, you give us the following permission: You grant us a transferable, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any content that you post on Ubook. The rights you grant in this license are for the limited purpose of promoting, operating, and improving our service, and to develop new ones. This license continues even if you stop using Ubook. The license ends when you delete your content or your account unless your account has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it. Note! The content you delete will no longer be viewable or available to other users. However, you understand that deleted content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time.    • Our service is a public platform, and other user may search for, see and use any content that you make publicly available on Ubook.
   • Your feedback or other suggestions about Ubook is highly appreciated, but we may use them without any obligation to compensate you for them, just as you have no obligation to offer them.

4. Using our Service & Safety

   We do whatever we can to keep Ubook an amazing and safe place, but we cannot guarantee it. So in order to keep Ubook a safe place you have to accept these commitments:

   • Using our service doesn’t give you ownership of any intellectual property in our Service or the content you access.
   • You must follow all the policies made available to you within Ubook.
   • You don’t have the right to misuse our Service, such as accessing our Service using a method other than our interface and instructions that we provide.
   • You don’t have the right to spam Ubook users for commercial communication or any other purpose.
   • You don’t have the right to collects user’s information and content.
   • You don’t have the right to post content that is: hate speech, threatening or Incites violence, pornographic, or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence. These contents will be removed immediately.
   • You don’t have the right to engage in unlawful pyramid scheme or other types of multi-level marketing on Ubook.
   • You don’t have the right to access an account belonging to someone else.
   • You don’t have the right to ask for user’s login information.
   • You don’t have the right to harm, harass intimidate or bully any user.
   • You don’t have the right to disable, overburden or impair the appearance of Ubook such as DOS or DDOS attack.

5. Registration and Account Security

   You have to provide your real name and information like all other users, and you have to accept the following commitments:

   • You don’t have the right to enter a false name or give us false information about yourself.
   • You don’t have the right to create an account other than yourself unless you have permission to do so.
   • You don’t have the right to create more than one personal account.
   • You don’t have the right to use Ubook if you are under 13
   • You don’t have the right to use Ubook if you are a convicted sex offender.
   • You have to keep your information up to date.
   • You can’t share your password to anyone else. Your password must be kept safe and only you should know your password.

6. People's Rights in Our Service

   Ubook will always respect other people’s rights (including content owners), and we expect you to do the same.

   • You agree to not post any content on Ubook that violates, infringes someone else’s rights or otherwise violates the law, including without limitation any intellectual property rights, publicity rights or rights for privacy.
   • We have the right, but are not obligated to remove any content or information you post on Ubook if we believe that it violates our Terms or Policies.
   • If you want to protect your intellectual property rights and file a Copyright Complaint, then you can visit the “Copyright” page.
   • You can file a Counter Complaint, if your content has been removed for infringing someone else’s copyright, and you believe this is an error.
   • We have the right to suspend your account when appropriate and remove all of your content, if you repeatedly infringe people’s intellectual property rights.
   • You don’t have the right to use our copyright or trademarks (including Ubook, and any Ubook logo that belongs to us), except you have our written permission.
   • You don’t have the right to post anyone’s ID documents or sensitive financial information on Ubook.

7. Our Source Code

   You do not have the right to modify, create derivative works of, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract our source codes, unless you are expressly permitted to do so under an open source license or we give you express written permission.

8. Termination of your Account

   If you violate our Terms, or create other risk for us, we have the right to disable all or part of your account. We may but are not obligated to notify you before suspending your account. You have full right to delete your account at any time, and the terms will also be terminated except the following provisions: 1, 3.1, 3.2 and 4-12.

9. Disclaimers

   We enjoy providing the best service possible but there is something that we can’t promise.

   • Ubook is a safe and bug-free service but you use it at your own risk and any risk arising out of your access to and use of our service, Ubook content and user content remains with you. However we do not guarantee that Ubook will be bug-free, safe, secure or functioning without delay and disruptions. We provide the service “as is” and we don’t make any commitments about the content within the service, the specific function of the service, or their reliability, availability, or ability to meet your needs. Neither Ubook nor its suppliers or distributors make any specific promises about the service other than as expressly set out in our terms or additional terms and policies.
   • Some jurisdictions provide for certain warranties, like the implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement to the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties.
   • You are solely responsible for the consequences of content you post to our service. Ubook is acting as a passive conduit for you and all other user’s online distribution and publication of you and user content. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any content published by users to our service.

10. Liability for our Service

    • You agree that if anyone brings a claim against us related to your actions, content or information on Ubook, you will indemnify, release us and hold us (including, employees, agents and other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the service) harmless against all known and unknown damages, losses, and expenses of any kind (including reasonable legal fees and costs) related to such claim.
    • You agree that you will resolve any claim, cause of action or dispute (claim) you have with us arising out of or relating to our Terms and other policies, or in The Oslo City Court.

11. More about these Terms

    • These Terms and the additional policies make up the entire agreement between you and Ubook, and will supersede any prior agreements.
    • We may modify our terms or additional policies at anytime, and you should read our terms regularly. Your continued use of our service following changes to our terms and additional policies constitutes your acceptance of our amended terms.
    • If you do not comply with these terms, and we don’t take any action right away, this doesn’t mean we are giving up any rights that we have (such as taking action in future).
    • If it turns out that a particular term is not enforceable, this will not affect any other terms.
    • If you are using our service on behalf of a third-party or a business, that business accepts these terms.
    • Nothing will be considered a waiver if we fail to enforce any of these Terms.
    • Nothing in these Terms shall prevent us from complying with the law.
    • These Terms and Additional Policies don’t confer any third-party beneficiary rights.
